New driver of the Month competition

The Road Safety Panel have launched their latest initiative to help reduce crashes involving new drivers which are amongst the highest risk to be involved in a crash on our roads.

This initiative will dovtail into the Panel's successful 'Young Driver of the Year' competition which is run in conjunction with Jersey's Advanced Drivers Association.

Each month the Driving Examiners at Jersey's Driver & Vehicle Standards Department will select the best candidate they have tested and passed during the month.  This person will receive a trophy to keep.  The Jersey Evening Post will be supporting this competition and highlighting the winner each month in their motoring section.

A special competition for the 'New Driver' winners is being arranged to coincide with the Young Driver of the Year competition when they can battle it out to find the top New Driver of the Year!

The Panel hope these new acolades will be something new drivers will aspire to attaining and take pride in the trophy they win as well as help improve road safety on our roads among new drivers.
